Although the variety of disease-modifying therapies available for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) continues to grow, the ability of MS clinicians to manage the neurologic symptoms, which increase throughout the course of the disease, has not kept pace. What should be done to more effectively address the symptoms — fatigue, impaired mobility, cognitive dysfunction, etc. — that affect patients with MS?

In this issue, Dr. Jacqueline Nicholas, System Chief of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at OhioHealth Multiple Sclerosis Center and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Neurology at Ohio University College of Medicine and University of Toledo College of Medicine, analyzes the current data describing a comprehensive multidisciplinary team approach to MS symptom management.
