eNewsletter: This 1 contact hour Educational Activity is provided by the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing. This newsletter carries a maximum of 1.0 contact hour.  

Course Format

The eMultipleSclerosis Review issue consists of a special edition newsletter with audio links emailed to clinicians caring for patients with multiple sclerosis. The timely commentary on current research, best practices and clinical management issues is provided by an expert panel of multiple sclerosis specialists.

Estimated time to complete activity: 60 minutes.  

Target Audience

The target audience (clinicians) for this initiative includes neurologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and other health care providers who care for patients with MS. 

Learning Objective

After participating in this activity, the learner will demonstrate the ability to:  

  • Evaluate emerging data about treating patients with MS in the era of COVID.  

Statement of Responsibility

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.  

Statement of Need

  • Clinicians are largely unaware of the effects that COVID-19 will have on patients with multiple sclerosis and need guidance on how to best manage their patients as data becomes available.  

Special Edition supported by educational grants from Biogen, Inc.  and Genentech. 

Successful Completion

To receive credit, participants must (1) read the learning objectives and disclosure statements, (2) complete the educational activity, and (3) complete the post-test and activity evaluation form, including the certificate information section. Physicians must attest to the amount of time they spent on the activity.  

A passing grade of 70% or higher on the post-test/evaluation is required to receive CME credit.  

There are no fees or prerequisites for this activity.
